Online Didactic Training

The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) requires individuals who desire to obtain a Limited Radiography license to complete a course of training approved by the Department.  Continuing Education Providers offers an approved online education course consisting of lectures and quizzes that include the curriculum required by the ISDH.  Our online course helps the student to acquire a basic knowledge and practical understanding of the fundamentals of radiation safety and the daily operation of diagnostic x-ray equipment.  We feel that our format of lecture, quiz, practice examinations, and review is the optimal way for students to retain the information necessary to pass the licensing examination.

Clinical Training

Once the student completes the online didactic training he/she will apply for a student permit from the ISDH.  The permit is valid for 6 months.  During this time the student obtains clinical training and competency at their place of employment under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner or a licensed Radiologic Technologist registered by the ARRT.  Continuing Education Providers will provide competency forms to be used during the clinical training.  A student checklist will also be provided to keep the student on track for obtaining their Limited Radiography license.

State Examination

The ISDH has approved Continuing Education Providers to administer the State examination for individuals seeking a limited scope chest, chiropractic or podiatric radiography license.

Course Cost

​

The cost of the Continuing Education Providers didactic program is $1,550 for Chiropractic, $1,050 for Podiatric, $1,050 for Chest, and $1,750 for both Chiropractic and Chest. This includes the cost of the didactic course, the textbook, and an exam prep work book.
